What it's likely to be
Non-Apple replacement panel
Most likelyFrom iPhone 11 onwards, iOS checks the display and lists any screen it can't verify. Original Grade, OLED and TFT options all show this.
Genuine part moved from another phone
PossibleEven an Apple screen taken from another iPhone may not verify on yours.
Try this first
- See it for yourself: Settings › General › About › Parts and Service History.
- If the screen works, looks right and touch is fine, there's nothing else to do — the notice doesn't slow the phone or block updates.
Bring it in if
- You plan to sell or trade in the phone and want the screen to show as genuine.
- Something else changed after the repair, like True Tone or auto-brightness.
What SPR usually does
Screen replacement — Genuine
The only option that shows as genuine in Settings. Best if resale value matters to you.
Screen replacement — Original Grade
Looks like your original screen; Settings will say Unknown Part. We tell you this before the repair, not after.
Price depends on the model and option. WhatsApp us your model for a free quote, or see how we check it first.
Which iPhones show the notice
iPhone 11 and every model after it, plus iPhone SE 2nd and 3rd generation. iPhone X, XS and XR don't show a screen notice.
