SPRScreen check
Often not screen

My iPhone screen looks yellow (or pink, or too blue)

Whites look like old paper, or one part of the screen is a different shade from the rest. Most of the time a setting is doing it. When it isn't, the panel is.

Short answer

Usually a setting. Check the three below before anything else.

What it's likely to be

  • Night Shift, True Tone or a Colour Filter

    Most likely

Night Shift and True Tone warm the screen up on purpose. A Colour Filter or tint left switched on changes every colour.

  • A replacement panel with different colour

    Possible

After a screen replacement, whites may look warmer or cooler than the original — and True Tone may be missing.

  • Ageing or damaged panel

    Less common

A patch that's tinted differently from the rest of the screen, especially after a knock, is in the panel.

Try this first

  1. Settings › Display & Brightness: turn off Night Shift (or check its schedule) and switch True Tone off to compare.
  2. Settings › Accessibility › Display & Text Size › Colour Filters: make sure it's off.
  3. Same menu: check that Reduce White Point and Smart Invert are off.

Bring it in if

  • The whole screen is still tinted with all three off.
  • Only one area is a different colour.
  • The tint started after a screen replacement and bothers you.
